RESERVATIONS & DEPOSITS
To reserve a trip, call us at 718-788-6365 and fill out the on-line reservation form on this site. A $400 per-person deposit is required to reserve your space. (Deposit varies for custom and day tours; call to inquire.) The balance is due 60 days prior to your departure date. We accept checks and credit cards (American Express, Mastercard, Visa). About a month before the trip, you’ll receive a tour package containing trip details, background articles, a What to Pack tip sheet, and an assumption of risk form, which must be signed and returned prior to the tour.
SINGLE ROOM SUPPLEMENT
Tour prices are based on a double accommodation (i.e., two people sharing the cost of a double room). Hotels charge more for single rooms, and we pass that expense along as a single-room supplement. Please note, single rooms in many European hotels are smaller than doubles, so what you are paying for is the privacy of your own room.
CANCELLATION & REFUNDS
Due to the coronavirus, the standard policy (below) has been revised. Cancellations and final payments can now be made just 30 days prior to departure. Call 718-788-6365 for further details.
Cancellations must be received in writing 60 days prior to the date of departure. You will receive a refund, less a $75/person cancellation fee. Between 59-45 days prior to the start date, you may apply 40% of the tour price towards a future trip departing within one year of the cancellation date. Cancellations made less than 45 days before the start of the trip will result in the loss of all monies received. No refunds will be made for a cancellation during the course of the tour, nor for unused portions of the trip. No exceptions to our cancellation policy are made, including weather or personal emergency. Therefore, we strongly recommend travel insurance.
TRAVEL INSURANCE
Trip cancellation and health/accident insurance are recommended to prevent needless loss of money in case of illness, accident, or other unanticipated occurrences. La Dolce Vita does not provide such insurance, nor does it assume responsibility or liability for any loss or damage of personal effects or for any injury or loss during the duration of the tour. Three sources are Travelex Insurance, (800) 228-9792; CSA Travel Protection, (800) 348-9505; and Travel Guard, (800) 826-1300.
As long as the coronavirus is circulating, it would be wise to consider “Cancel For Any Reason” (CFAR) trip insurance, offered by companies including Allianz Travel and Trip Mate.
RESPONSIBILITY
Clients should be in good physical condition and are responsible for selecting a tour suitable to their athletic ability. Participants on non-active tours should still be prepared to do some walking over uneven terrain (vineyard paths, cobblestone streets, etc.). Clients are required to act in a responsible manner at all times, and to act with respect towards other guests, the guides, and the property. We reserve the discretionary right to decline to accept or to require any individual to withdraw from any tour, or to limit the amount of wine any participant may consume. La Dolce Vita Wine Tours is not responsible for the actions of our contracted service providers.
ITINERARY
Due to unforeseen circumstances, we may find it necessary to make adjustments in our stated itinerary. Any changes will maintain the high standard of our tours. Changes in accommodation will be replaced by a hotel of equal or superior rating
TRIP CANCELLATIONS
La Dolce Vita Wine Tours reserves the right to cancel a tour. In this unlikely situation, you would receive a complete refund of the monies received. La Dolce Vita will not assume any other liability and is not responsible for any personal expenses as a result of a tour cancellation, such as airline tickets or pre-paid hotel reservations.
